Bhudargad Fort

Bhudargad fort is located about 63 km south of Kolhapur. This has a characteristic mountain cap and easily accessible by road.This fort was built by Shilahar king Bhoj II. Then being with Adhilshah for many years, it was captured by Marathas in 1667. Shivaji Maharaj renovated the fort and made it an important army post. Rajaram Maharaj had stayed on the fort while returning from Gingee.

Rangana Fort

The capital of Kolhapur region was Panhala at all times. Rangana is situated at 50 km south of Panhala. Fort not easily accessible, strong and not easily defeat able even to enemies. Balumama Aadmapur

Balumama was a mystic, saint yogi from an Indian Dhangar community and was considered by people to be an incarnation of Shiva.Kolhapur to Adamapur bus route is about 42 km. In 1966, at the age of 74, Balumama died in Adampur. A Samadhi temple was built at Adamapur in his memory. This temple is maintained by “Shri Balumama Sansthan”. Bhandara festival is celebrated with kirtans, discourses, bhajans, Dhangari drums from different parts of the country.
